AERO CLUB PICNIC
’PLANES VISIT ALFREDTON. A week-end picnic was held at Xlfredton by the Wairarapa Aero Club in delightful weather. It was a great success and enjoyed by all who attended. The club’s two ’planes proceeded to Alfred ton, piloted by Flying-Officer J. Buckeridge and Mr. A. V. Jury, who gave a splendid exhibition of stunt flying 0%-er the landing ground kindly made available by Mrs. A. J. Rutherfurd. The visiting Aero Club members were welcomed to the district by Mr. Purvis Hay, of Brooklands station, and Mr. H. A. R. Dunderdale (secretary) and Flying-Officer Buckeridge responded on behalf of the club. The picnic arrangements were carried out admirably by a committee of ladies headed by Miss Beresford. A number of new members were enrolled in the club and a large number of passengers were taken aloft for flights. The club ’planes returned to Mastcrtou last night.
