W.E.A.
The lectures which have been given in Master ton for some years past under the auspices of the YV.E.A. have undoubtedly served a useful, purpose. Delivered by students who have given special attention to the subjects with which they have dealt, the lectures have been a source of valuable information to a large number of people. Usually placed before an audience in simple language, and with the subject matter nicely grouped, the lectures have provided not only enlightenment, but enjoyment to those who have attended them. Were the excellence of the lectures more fully realised by the general public, we are sure that the attendances would be very much larger than they usually are. The lectin es are worthy of the support of all classes of the community, because they impart knowledge, and one is never too old to learn. As a member of the Trust Lands Trust stated at a meeting of that body on Thursday night, a very good ease had been made for the continued support of the "W.E.A. by the Trust. Certainly the W.E.A. lectures are educational, and are thus entitled to the financial support of the Trust.
