The friend of Mr E. Jones, Colombo Road, will be pleased to learn that he is making a good recovery after a recent illness. Mr G. W. R. Davidson, AssistantChief Engineer of Railways, has retired on superannuation after 33 years’ service. Constable C. W. Gainey, of Pahiatua, has been transferred to Pongaroa in. place of Constable John Mclntosh, who has been removed to Wellington. At the annual meeting of the New Zealand Friesian Association, held at Palmerston North on Tuesday, Mr A. Cadwallader, of Greytown, was elected a vice-president. There was a large attendance of mourners at the funeral of late Mr Robert Falloon, which t<£p: place at the Masterton Cemetery yesterday afternoon. The Rev. John Davie conducted a service at the graveside, and a large number of beautiful fioral tributes were received. The North Island A. and P. Associations, in conference at Palmerston North, yesterday re-elected Mr J. M. James (Masterton) president; Messrs. H. B. Stuckey (Dannevirke), J. T. K. Mitchell (Auckland), vice-presidents; Mr M. A. Conway (Manawatu) treasurer; Messrs. W. F. McLaren (Masterton), Ross (Wanganui), Saudi lands" A. (Feilding), Richards (Levin), Vile (Marion), Washer (Kawera), Lever (Tauranga)’ and Nelson (Whangarei) to the executive, At the annual meeting of the Masterton Methodist Choir Last evening officers were elected as follows for the ensuing year: —Choirmaster, Mr S. 11. Ralph; deputy-choirmaster, Mr F. Clarke; secretary, Miss Jackson; organist, Miss Jones; deputy-organist, Miss C. Donald, L.A.8.; librariaJl Misses Beale and' Hutchison; regisnar, Miss E. Wellington; committee, the officers, together with Miss Church. and Messrs. Wilbur Davies and Mannell. The wedding was solemnised by the Rev. W. H. Hocking at St. Paul’s Methodist Church, Hamilton, Miss Grace Ellen Wellington, only daughter of Mr and Mrs T. U. Wellington, of Lansdowne, Masterton, and Mr William Ernest Gray, of Te Kuiti. The bride, who was given away by her father, was dxessed in white georgette and lace with diamante trimming. She wore the usual veil and. orange blossom and carried a pretty bouquet. The best man was Mr Edgar Biddick cf Hamilton. /
