After a gruelling 24 hours, the European Grand Prix was Avon by Sir Henry Birlcin, driving an Alfa Romeo, averaging over S 8 miles per hour, beating Wolf Barnato’s last year’s record. Twentyfive started, but the majority failed to finish. „
