MINISTER RESIGNS OBJECTS TO PREMIERS’ PLAN. Press Association Electric Telegraph—Copyright MELBOURNE, Sunday. Mr E. J. Holloway, assistant Minister of Industry in the Federal Ministry, has resigned, being strongly opposed to the Premiers ’ Conference economy plan. He has written a letter to the Prime Minister saying that he has no sympathy with the reduction of pensions. Ho believes that the only Avay to revive the Australian position is by “an issue of fresh credit through J our national bank. ’ ’ Mr Holloway defeated Mr S. M. Bruce, the former Prime Minister, in the last election in Flinders, but has indicated that he intends to contest the Melbourne Ports electorate, which is an industrial constituency, at the next election. The “Telegraph” says:—“A SeullinLyons' Federal coalition, with thirteen or more Left Wing .Labour members as the official Opposition, was the fore-; east by the State Australian Labour Party and industrial leaders. They claimed that members representing the industrial seats will be forced to follow the lead indicated by Mr Holloway, and refuse to support Messrs Scullin and Theodore in enforcing the Premiers’ Conference plan.
