RUGBY UNION’S LEASE.

In a comniuiiieatibu the Trust LaiuU Trust was advised by its solicitors at la Slight’s meeting that the* Wairar&pa Rugby Union had approved the draft memorandum of lease of th6‘ Cameron Park, subject to the following
minor requirements': — (1) That alterations and improvements to existing buildings, if previously approved by the Trustees, are to be deemed ‘'permanent improvements.” (2) The Union asks that provision be inserted obliging the Trustees, within 14 days after receipt of notice from the Caledonian Society pursuant to clause 7 of the Trust Deed, to pass on the notice to the
Union. - ‘ Trustees were also advised that the Union could not see its way clear to incorporate any condition in the lease regarding the Technical School pupils having use of the Park, but it was pointed out that it is the policy of the Union to facilitate the playing of all games which will make for physical development or enjoyment, solicitors stated that the propos-als-SPlre reasonable and it was decided to agree to incorporate the above requirements. Air J. AI. Coradine asked if the Caledonian Society’s two days’ free use of the Park annually were conserved. The secretary assured Air Coradine they were. In referring to the use of the Park for Technical School pupils Air Corathat the Trust could not insist on such a condition. Air Watson said that ho did not think the Rugby Union would stop the pupils from using the Park.
