SPURIOUS COINS.
CIRCULATED IN SYDNEY. PLANT DISCOVERED. (Received Wednesday 9.45 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. For some weeks counterfeit florins have been in circulation, and last night detectives forced their way into a house in East Sydney and discovered one of the biggest coining plants yet found in Australia.
Two young Italians were arrested and charged. Some of the spurious coins found were still hot in the moulds.
