MOTOR DISPLAY.
WHAT BRITAIN IS DOING. • TO GAIN PREDOMINANCE. Press Association Electric Telegraph—Copyright (Received Wednesday, 9.15 a.m.) LONDON, Tuesday. Before the crowds besieged the motor show this morning, Messrs Ramsay MacDonald, J. A. Scullin and G. W. Forbes and General Hertzog, had a private glimpse at what the British manufacturer is doing to gain predominance in the overseas markets. Mr Forbes commented on the considerable advance towards standard grade, piice reduction, and the embodiment of features the Dominions require. Two leading companies told him that they were immediately sending representatives to the Antipodes to further explore trade possibilities. A feature of the Lord Mayor’s Show will be a pageant of Empire produce, including cars, representing Australia and New Zealand.
