DESTITUTE MOTHER.
MAGISTRATE MAKES ORDER. (By Telegraph—Press Association). AUCKLAND, Monday. An order for maintenance in respect of herself and children Avas sought by Olive Lilian MeColl (Mr A. L. Tompkins) from her husband, Angus MeColl, in the Hamilton Magistrate’s Court, before Mr Wyvern Wilson, S.M. Mr Tompkins said the parties agreed to separate at Hamilton in July, 1928, defendant to pay £3 a Aveelc as maintenance, and MeColl left Hamilton early this year without letting his Avife know Avhere he Avas going. Some Avceks ago he Avon £2OOO, being the first prize in the Ncav Plymouth art union. MeColl gave his Avife £IOO, in Feilding, and let her see cheque butts, which sIiOAVCd that he had spent £SOO of tho £2OOO in about three Aveeks. Maintenance orders of 30s a week in respect of tlie wife and 15s for each child Avero granted. The magistrate ordered that £4OO be deposited Avith the Public Trustee as security.
