October 20: Barograph 29.94; shade temperature, maximum 56, minimum 39.2; terrestrial 29.5; frost .6 degrees; rain, 40 points; sunshine, 6 hours 12 minutes. SOLWAY. Mr H. M. Boddington reports that 50 points of rain were registered at Solway for the 24 hours up till nine o’clack yesterday morning, and 45 points were registered for the 24 hours up till 9 o’clock this morning. TO-DAY’S FORECAST. The indications are for. southerly moderate winds and backing by west to north, freshening. Indications are for temporary improvement, later expect changeable and showery weather, with milder temperatures. The barometer is falling slowly.
