UNREST IN INDIA.
ROUND TABLE CONFERENCE STATUS THAT WOULD SUIT. Press Association Electric Telegraph—Copyright (Received Monday, 8.50 a.m.) LONDON, Sunday. A number of delegates who are to attend the Indian round table conference have arrived in London. Sir Tej Bahadur Sepru said: “India’s position must be similar to any other self-governing dominion within the Commonwealth. We are willing to face difficulties, but only in order to solve them. Speaking for myself, I think the form of Dominion status that would suit us best Avould be on the lines of Canada, with a strong central Government, having the powers of treaty of a specific nature. Some people in India want the Australian type. I am open to conviction.”
