RIFLE SHOOTING.
NEW SOUTH WALES MEETING. MASEFIELD DOES WELL. SYDNEY, Saturday. In the King’s Prize shoot at Liverpool Range, Captain Masefield (N.Z.) finished Avith 325, and Avon £4. Ho finished second in the Mudgee shoot, ten shots at 900 yards, Avith a possible, and Avon £3. Captain Masefield, intervieAved , said tho meeting Avas enjoyable, but he had had trouble Avith his rifle in the early stages. When this Avas oA’ercome his snooting improved. He scored possibles in each of the last tAvo matches, SOO and 900 'yards, and finished in tAventy-eighth place in the King’s.
