ANNUAL BALL.
GLADSTONE FOOTBALL CLUB. The Gladstone Football Club held their annual ball in the Gladstone Town Hall recently. The hall was decorated with black and gold streamers and nikau palms. Round the walls were hung photographs of Gladstone football teams, dating back to the early days. The supper room was also decorated with streamers and vases of apple blossoms and spring flowers. ■ Dancing continued until the early hours of the morning, when everyone returned home delighted with their night’s enjoyment. The Ladies ’ Committee helped to supply and prepare an excellent and appetising supper. An orchestra de luxe, comprising six players, rendered entrancing music. Mr Edgar Mason presented Mr C. Cooper with a medal for the most improved forward in the junior team. Messrs J. McKay and J. Nunn acted as M’s.C.
The committee, under the secretaryship of Messrs A. D. McKay and C. Cooper, did excellent work in providing such a delightful entertainment.
