Cecil Charles, convicted of the murder of his father at Windsor, was sentenced to death. Charles denied the charge and declared that the crime was committed by some unknown madman. Janies Charles, aged 79, was discov-* ered on April 14 dead in a paddock in the Windsor district, with terrible head injuries. CeciL Charles, a son, aged 53, was shortly afterwards arrested by the police.
