MASTERTON HOMING CLUB.
RACE PROM PICTON. The Homing Pigeon Club flew its Pieton race on Saturday last which resulted:— J. Stevens “Little Jean” 1 F. Poole’s : “ Stay Out” .. 2 These .were the only birds to arrive honie day. TheVpPb. were liberated at 11 a.m. Mr Stevens bird arrived , home at .2.30 p.m. and Mr Poole’s 1 hour 20 minutes later. This is the first race the club has flown across water, but, although most lofts have lost birds, they are not downhearted and are now preparing birds for a race from Nelson.
