UNOFFICIAL REPORT.
HEADQUARTERS. Approached to-day by a “Daily Times” reporter in reference to the report that Messrs. Thomas Borthwick and- Sons are- to remove their New .Zealand headquarters from Christchurch to Masterton, Mr W. H. Maitland, manager at "Waingawa, stated that there was no official foundation for the report so far. He stated that one branch of the firm’s many activities may be established here which may necessitate an executive being transferred to Masterton.
The rumour that Messrs Borthwick and Sons’ headquarters were to be -established here has been current for the past week or two but as stated it is without official foundation.
