HOCKEY.
PRACTICE GAME. On Saturday next, on the High School ground, a'combined team from Old Girls and High School will play the Wairarapa lady representatives. This will be the last game the representatives will play before leaving for the tournament at Gisborne. the teams will be as follows: —-Combined: Misses 0. Johnson, M. Bassett, J. McLeod, E. Johnson, J. Wallis, 0, Coolt, C. loins, Mrs Te Tau, D. Magrath, B. Brown, E. Finlayson; reserves, B. Merry, J. Bose. Rep. team: Mrs Playle, , Misses A. Booth, G. Cook, M. Fafeita, D. Playle, Langley, B. Jackson, I. Booth, D. Henderson,* F. Booth, G. Jackson. The game will commence at 1.45 p.m., and players are requested to be on time. The Grcytown v. High School A junior game* which is to take place on the High School ground on Saturday, at o o’clock, will practically decide the winner of the junior grade competition.
33ANNIN SHIELD. The following is t'hc draw for the first round of the Bannin Shield games, to lit* played on Saturday: —Carterton v. Maurieeville, at Carterton; Y.M.C.A. A v. Dalcficld B, at Masterton; Y.M.C.A. B v. Greytown, at Greytown.
