MURDER OF CHINESE.
WOODCUTTER ARRESTED. (Received Wednesday, 10.35 a.m.) BRISBANE, This Day. The police at Silkwood arrested a woodcutter on a. charge of the murder of the Chinese storekeeper aud his son. He stated that he is a New Zealander, but his name has not been dii&closjed. —Australian and N.Z. Press Assn. (A cable on Monday stated: A man passing the general store of a Chinaman named Young Kee, at Silkwood, near Innisfail, noticed one of the rooms in disorder. He investigated and found the mutilated bodies of Young Kee and his son, Willie Cheong, aged thirteen, with their heads battered to pulp, lying in a litter of wrecked furniture, giving evidence that a violent struggle had been made for their lives.)
