The “Liberty National Magazine,” with a two million circulation, carries an article “White Australia, the Lowpressure Centre of the Globe,” by Mr Lowthrop Stoddard, who several years ago became sensationally famous by liis observations on the race problem. Mr Stoddard says in part: “Australia is the focal point where the extending -forces, East and West, confront each other most harply and irreconcilably. It is the logical storm centre where, iff potentially hostile forces should be unleashed, the hurricane winds of race war would begin to blow.'. Let there be no mistake. We Americans will be in it too. America could never stand by and sec Australia overwhelmed by Asia. Give Australia time and security from the Asiatic peril, and she ought ultimately to belome a nation strong enough to guard against, any possible attack. — Australian and N.Z. Press Assn.
