ODDFELLOWSHIP.
MANCHESTER UNITY. LOYAL MASTERTON LODGE. The quarterly meeting of the Loyal Masterton Lodge was held last evening, N.G. Bro. L. Tait presiding over a good attendance of members. Two Brothers were declared on the sick fund, and one declared off.
The 'District Secretary wrote advising that the District Officers would be visiting Alasterton oa June ISth. One Brother was granted a clearance to Loyal Grey town Lodge.
.An 'invitation was received from Loyal Grey town Lodge to be present at a social evening on Saturday, June 2nd. If was decided to accept the invitation and that the arrangoemnts for a conveyance l)e left in the hands of Bro. T. Young. The Y.M.C.A. wrote, asking the Lodge to enter a billiard team to compete for the Rigg Bros.’ Cup. It was decided to enter a team, and Bro. C. 11. Devenport was appointed captain. •Loyal Eketahuna Lodge forwarded two complimentary tickets for their annual ball.
One new member was duly initiated into the order. It was decided that the Juvenile Lodge be opened at 11 p.m. on .Monday, June 4th. The election of officers for the ensuing six months resulted as follows: — Noble Grand, Bro. L. Ball; Vice-Grand, Bro. T. Young; elective secretary, Bro. £. Harman; conductor, Bro. L. Finlayscn.
The newly-appointed officers were in stalled in their various chairs by R.G Bro. L. E. Emery.
The Brothers returned thanks for the confidence the Lodge had shown in them ny placing them in the chairs of the Lodge.
A hearty vote of thanks was passed to the retiring 1.P.X.G., Bro. C. Johnston, and it was decided to forward a Lodge P.G. emblem to Bro. Johnston at Napier. Bro. L. Tait, N.G., in granting Bro. L. W. Ball leave of absence from the next two meetings, on behalf of the Lodge conveyed to Bro. Ball the best wishes of all members, in view of his approaching marriage.
