NEW RECORD FOR GIRLS. (By Telegraph —Press Association.) AUCKLANI), Thursday. The Auckland amateur swimming championships were concluded to-night. Miss E. Champion broke the New Zealand record, held by Miss K. Miller (Otago) for the 220 yards intermediate girls, by Osecs., covering the distance in 2.52 2-5. In the 100 yards ladies ‘ race. Miss E. Stockley was defeated by Miss D. Magee, this being Miss Stockley’-s first defeat for three years. The time for the race was 67 2-osec. The following were the results: — 440 yards: G. Bridson 1, E. V.
