There was a large number of occupants, most of whom were in bed at the time. Half of the building collapsed and xt ffire started in the wreckage. Three persons wero killed and seventeen injured. Vv 24 STILL MISSING. Iwleceived Friday, 10.50 a.m.) • - K W BERLIN, Thursday. The explosion is ascribed to the bursting of a refrigerator for a fivestorey block of fiats, or the escape of coal gas. Twenty-four people are still buried in the ruins, and it is feared that they .have been suffocated.
