YOUNG MAN'S END.
FOUND DROWNED. OFF PETONE BEACH. (Bj Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. About 3.15 o’clock this morning, residents at the beach end of Patrick street, Petonc, heard cries from the direction of the beach. The police were informed, and a constable made a search, but could find nothing, though he said he heard groans. When daylight came Constables Scarry and LMacXamara went out in a dinghy, ain't after cruising round some time, they found the body of a man about 21 years old, fully clothed, floating in the water. There were no papers to assist in identilication. Deceased was of slim build, wearing a light grey suit, had brown hair and eyes, and his height was oft Sin. There were no marks of violence on the body.
