FATAL DRINKING PARTY.
SEVEN MEN DEAD. (Received Friday, 9.20 a.m.) OTTAWA, Thursday. At Winnipeg seven men are dead, one is dying, another is in a demented state, while four others are recovering from drinking methylated hydrate purchased at a chemist ’s.
The men were unemployed labourers. The drinking party occurred in the Chinese quarter.
