WEDDING.
YATES— CLARK. A pretty wedding was solemnised at The Jvnox Presbyterian Church last ev- , filing, when Mr .Frederick l’ereival (Jack) Yates, son of Mr and Airs G. Jl. Yates, "Upper Plain, was married to .Miss Eileen Clark, daughter of Mr and ..Mrs C. Clark, of Masterton. The Rev. .John Davie performed the ceremony. The bride was given away by her .father, and wore-a •beautiful gown <f ivory crepe do chine with silver lace, .and coronet, veil and orange 1 lossoms. .'Her bouquet was of lilies and maidenihair fern. The bridesmaid was Miss Elza Dixon, who wore a frock of pink crepe do ■jjduno with cyclamen bands and georgette coronet to match. She carried a bouquet of sweet peas and carnations to tone. Olga Clark and June Clark were Power girls, the former wearing a ■ dainty frock and the latter pink ray do •ehinewJgach AVO re coronets of tulle and ■ya rriewoa skets of 'llowcrs and rose pt"..nls to match their dresses. The duties of best man were Carrie 1 ■out by Mr Oswald Jansen. As the bridal party passed the Fire Brigade Station (the bride's former home) en route from the church to the wedding reception, the members of | the brigade expressed their good wishes by a vigorous blowing of the sirens of the motor fire engines. . . The reception was held in the Orange dial], Bannister street, where a large number of friends tested the health of the young couple. Mrs Clark received the guests wearing a willow crepe do chine dress and fawn hat. Mr and Mrs Yates left later by car for the south, ■the bride travelling in a smart bois do rose dress and coat to match, with black crinoline hat. She wore a lox fur, the gift of the bridegroom. Miss Dixon and Olga Clark each received gold armlets from the bridegroom, while June Clark’s gift was a rope of pearl&A, Mr and Mrs Yates will make their ihome in Martinborough.
