A quarrel between two unemployed seamen in a disused coal trimmers' lint ;it Newcastle ended in the iatal stabbing of William Patrick Sullivan. immediately after the affray Sullivan's opponent rushed out and disappeared. Later Frank Edwards gave himself up to the police. He has been with murder.
