BOWLING.
MASTERTON CLUB. The Masterton Bowling Club s progressive pairs tournament, played during the holidays, led to many close and well contested games. E. Bell, or i!e Park Cluli, won the skips’ competition and T. Pinkney the leads. For the runners-up, who still have to play off, T. Dciibco and W. Hendry meet: A. Morgan and O. Blewitt; C. Gray and J. Finlayson meet J. Hunter and W. Gibson. The semi-final is to be played before Friday and the final on -Batunlay. Mr Majinvaring of I’atea, was amongst the competitors in the skips’ competition, but had to retire. Air E. Thirtle, Palmerston North, was also a visiting skip.
