NORTH ISLAND MEETING. (Bv Telegraph —Press Association.) TV ANG A X UI. Tues d ay. The North Island Ritie shooting championship meeting opened on the Putiki Range, to-day. There was a large attendance of competitors. A light but tricky cross wind prevailed, otherwise the conditions were ideal. The leading men in the aggregate for the championship are: —L. G. Benton (Featherston) 186, A. V. Swanson (Knrori) 185, W. J. Green (Okawa) 184. E. S. King (Wanganui) 184, L. E. BraHhwaite (Napier) 184, TV. H. TVest (Fenwick) 183, and C. Whiteman (Upper Hutl) 3S 3.
