FIRE IN CASTLE.
EIGHT PERSONS KILLED. , • . • LONDON, Friday. “The Times” Warsaw correspondent says the lire in D/.ikow Castle started at midnight in the residence of Count Tarnowsky, who was absent. The fiames speedily involved the whole building. Intense cold prevented the use of water. Tho occupants organised the rescue of the nonagenarian mother of the Count, also of the art collection and relies relating to Polish and Austrian history, Alfred Freyr, Polish running champion, taking a prominent part. The second floor crashed, killing eight persons, including Freyr, a four-teen-year-old girl, and two schoolboys. Seven others were injured, one of whom died. —“The Times.”
