THEFT OF CHEQUE.
POST OFFICIAL PLEADS GUILTY. COMMITTED FOR SENTENCE. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) FEILDIXG, Friday. Pleading guilty at Feilding to-day to charges of stealing a cheque for £ll 14s Sd from the Post Office at Ilaleombe and forging and acting on same, Ilikapaumu Parata, formerly of Ilaleombe and now of Ratana, was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence. Parata was a postal officer at Halcombo, where he stole a letter, endorsed a cheque in the letter and cashed it.
