CARTERTON SALE. The Wairarapa Farmers' Co-opera-tive Association, Stock Department, report:—We. offered a good entry of cattle and pigs. Cattle were in keen demand throughout. Prices: —Fat cows, 56 Is to £6 ss; forward do., £4 14s to £.", 3s Gd; store cows (well bred), £4 6s; potter do., 33s to £2 11s; 2-year steei s, £4 3s; dairy cows with calves, £3 1/s Gd. £4 Is to £4 4s; good-conditioned vearlings (runners), £3 17s 6d; 4-year bullocks, £7 Is. Weaner pigs (small), 7s, 8s Gd, 10s Gd, 13s 6d, 12s; better sorts, Ids, 15s 6d; slips, 19s to 22s 6d; light porkers, 31s 6d. There was a heavy supply of poultry, wluc-h sold well.’Ducks, 4s, 5s Gd, 7s Gd, and others at good prices.
