FIXTURES. Silver Rule beat High Disdain at Rioearton last month on the concluding day at a difference of 91b. At Awapuni on Boxing Day High Disdain receives only 21b more, and will har e to improve to reverse positions, though it is likely that lie may be the more improved in the interval. As Kiosk lias already earned the lull penalty of 141 b for the Palmerston North .Stakes, he can win the Eitzheibert Handicap on Boxing Day without prejudicing his chance in the weight-for-age event. When he beat Lady Cavendish in the Feilding Stakes he gave her 91b, and in the handicap he lias to allow her a stone. With better luck than Lady Cavendish experienced at Feilding she will make a race of it with Kiosk on Boxing Da\. The Wanganui Jockey Club, in consequence of decreased totalisator turnover has been forced to reduce its stakes considerably all round for its C’up meeting in February. The total stakes last year were £5325, and the reduction this year is to £432u, or £IOOO, the Jackson Stakes, of course, being one race to stay at its full value. The Wanganui Cup has been reduced from £IOOO to £6OO, the Earle Stakes from £3OO to £4OO, while £SO to £25 have been taken off the minor events all round. The Harrison Two-vear-old Handicap on the second day has been replaced by a Hack Handicap of £25 less value.
