MAORI GATHERING.
TO EE HELD AT FOXTON. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) FOXTON, This Day. A big native gathering will be held at the Motuiti pah during Christmas. A memorial to the late Rev. T. Paerata will be unveiled by Sir Maui Pomare and Sir A. T. Ngata and a confirmation service held by Bishop Sprott. Matters concerning the welfare of the native race will be discussed, and there will be an entertainment by the natives, including old-time dances and hakas. Representative natives from all parts of the North Island are already assembling.
