FOUND DEAD.

IN RANGITUMAU WHARE. Mr John Craig, aged 70 years, was found dead in his whare last evening on Mr Eric Milton’s property at Kangitumau. He had been recently attended to by a doctor who has given a certificate of death, obviating the necessity of an inquest. Deceased, who was born in Glasgow, followed the calling of a ship’s carpenter for a time. He came to Now Zealand in the seventies, and was a wagoner in Canterbury for a number -of years. Later he came to the North Island, where he worked on several sheep stations on the East Coast, including Glen Burn and Bush Gully, also in the Tinui district. During the past 11 years he has worked for Mr Wilton. Being of a kindly disposition he made many friends, who will learn of his death with deep regret. It is understood that lie has no relatives in New Zealand.
