GERMAN WAR DEBT
A RECOMMENDATION. FIXING OF DEFINITE SUM. WASHINGTON, Monday. It is stated that Mr Mellon (Secretary of the Treasury) seconded the recommendation of Mr Parker Gilbert that the total German indebtedness to the Allies bo definitely fixed, and Germany permitted to assume the burden on the basis of knowing what she owes her wartime enemies.
Air Alcllon did not believe the question of the inter-Allied debts would be involved in such a rearrangement.
