FOUND DEAD
W GAS POISONING. /(Tgy Telegraph—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Tuesday. Early this morning, Eleanor E. Bayaon, a single woman, aged 44, was found dead in tlie kitchenette of her yjarjyHs’ residence at St. Alban s, CiySthurch. A gas jet was found turned on, but a fanlight and one of the doors were open. At tho inquest- it was stated that Miss Baynon was on sick leave and had suffered from sleeplessness for flomc time. Dr. R. H. Baxter said that deceased 7iad suffered from thyroid and nerve trouble, and was in a debilitated condition. She was liable to sudden coland gas from the open jet would Iu that ease .accelerate death. The Coroner (Mr Young, S.M.) returned a verdict of death from gasjpoisoning, which might have been accidental.
