AUCKLAND PROPERTY DEAL.

BIG SUM INVOLVED. (By Telegraph —Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Monday. A property deal involving over £200,000 in the purchase and rebuilding of premises fronting Queen and Customs streets, and the construction of an arcade linking them round the back of Dilworth Building, has been effected. The price paid for the Queen street frontage, about £1758 a foot, is a record for the city. At a price of £55,000, Davis Properties, Limited, have acquired tho block of A. B. Donald, Limited, in Lower Queen Street, which was recently purchased by Stormont and Sons and another party for £52,000. The block has a frontage to Queen street of 33ft, and a depth of 198 ft, running right back to Fort Street Lane. The price paid by J. and W. -I. Fletcher to the Public Trust Office for a block with 65ft 3in frontage to Customs street and adjacent to Dilwoith Building is £48,000. The site has a depth of 90ft.
