The secretary of the Wairarapa Racing Club advises that Wild Pigeon has not been nominated for the Wairarapa Cup, but that Royal Picture, whose weight he cannot yet supply, is iuclud-, ed. Vivian Sinnamon, a jockey, aged 18, was thrown from his horse at Wingatui on Saturday, receiving head injuries, Ho WAS unconscious throughout the night at Dunedin Hospital. His home is at Poolbmm, Central Otago. The following l'chatidlcnp lias been declared for the Auckland summer meeting:—Robinson Handicap, Tea Time (31bs.), making the weight now Sst. 91bs. At one stage, while Footfall was in retirement, it seemed probable that M. C. G. Dalgety would not be represented at Auckland this season. Fortunately, the trouble proved to be less serious than was feared and when he went north he was as well as ever.- He ran four good races at Ricearton last month but he will be a better horse at fEllerslie, and he will take a lot of boating in any race lie contests. There is just one thing wrong with Footfall; he is useless on soft ground. His stable mate, Papercliase, was benefited by her racing at. Ricearton and it will come as a surprise if she fails to earn some money at the Auckland meeting.

The which will represent Sir George Clifford at Auckland are headed by Childsplay, the crack two-year-old of the season to date, with a record of three wins in as many starts, states “Argus” in the Christchurch “Star.” In her winding up gallops she showed exceptional speed, and it will take a very good juvenile to beat her on even terms. Centrepiece showed signs of leg troubles about a week ago but it proved to be not serious and be was all right when he left for the north. He was very backward when he raced here last month but he is different now, and towards the close of the Auckland meeting he will be ready for a high class performance. Front Rank is in the best of health, but she has to be taken on trust, as her racing form has not been good, while she does very little fast work in training.

Papatu, Dclightment and Gala Day headed a good pool in the Te Awamutu Cup ou Saturday. Dclightment, King Lu and Papatu were early in front, the first-named acting as the pacemaker along the back from Rarakau, Gala Day, King Lu and Phaoln. King Lu rushed up second to Dclightment at the half-mile post, and Desert Glow also made a fast run from the back, Turning for home, there was little between King Lu and Desert Glow, witffi Deliglrtment, Gala Day and Papatu next. The leaders fought out a great, finish, but Desert Glow always had a shade the better of‘ it, and won by Gala Day ran an even race into third place, half a length away, and Papatu, Te Kara, Delightment and Phaola were next. Desert Glow was well back in the early stages, anil simply outstayed the rest. He lost his rider after passing the post, but no damage was done. King Lu is in fine form. Papatu was challenging two furlongs from home,' blit weakened slightly from that stage. Phaola seemed sore, and did not shape like an Auckland Cup winner, although she was always in a handy position. Te Kara should still he a possibility for the Auckland Cup, as lie was running on sxbendidly at the finish.
