DRAINAGE DISPUTE
FARMERS AT LAW. (By Telegraph —Press Association.) PALMERSTON N.,' Saturday. After a futile attempt at settlement last night, the hearing was resumed before Mr Justice Ostler, in the Palmerston North Supreme Court, of the case in which Prank Oliver Bailey, a farmer, of Ohakea, proceeded against Charles Vile, also a farmer, of Ohakea, claiming an injunction in regard to drainage flooding operations, and the sum of £323 as damages. The ease, which was postponed t-o this sitting of the Supreme Court from July last, has taken two days, which have been occupied hearing evidence, and this morning His Honour stood it over until next year, when questions of law will be argued. Leave was granted counsel to recall certain witnesses.
