4 A HAPPY GIFT-MAKING. This ivas in the nature of a special young people’s service, held in connection with the Congregational Sunday ..School yesterday afternoon. A number of the recent anniversary .hymns were sung by the scholars, and the Rev. E. \V. Weymouth addressed ■the meeting on ‘‘Happy Gift-making.” A special feature of 'the service was "the “gift-making” by the scholars, %vho brought gifts of eggs and flowers .for the hospital. Nurses Scott and Herbert, representing the hospital, attended, and during •the service personally received the gifts from the children. Immediately following the gift-mak-ing, Mr G. Masters (superintendent) •explained to the nurses how this giftbjnaking came a:bout. It was the outcome of the young people’s desire to do something for suffering people at 'Christmas, a practical expression of their love for their Lord. The servicjjjb’as bright and impressive. ™ After the service, the minister, superintendent and several scholars conveyed the gifts to the hospital and presented them to the matron, who expressed sincere appreciation.
