NEW ZEALANDERS DEFEATED. SYDNEY, Thursday. Though unsuccessful, the New Zealand bowlers found the Hindmarsli greens more to their own calibre. Stone and Clark led the winning rinks with excellent play. The scores were:—Hindmarsli 3OS; New Zealand 90. Short, Strahan, Piper, Hill, 19, against 59; Watson, Rossiter, Casey, Clark, 27, against 24; Drummond, R. Bower, Thomas, Eagleton, 22, against 27; Hunt, McGregor, Farrow, Stone, 51; against IS.
