A SUBSTANTIAL INCREASE. (Received Wednesday, 11.30 a.in.) SYDNEY, This Day. Tiho drink Bill for the year ended Juno 30th, 1920, was £12,003,000 equal to £5/9/11 per head of the population, being an increase of £963,000, or 0/4 per head, compared with the preceding year. The increase is chiefly attributed to the increased consumption of Australian beer, and the higher price charged for .imported whisky, following on an increase of 5/- per gallon in duty.
