Rymill opened confidently and batted brilliantly throughout, scoring freely with attractive strokes. lie hit with power and placed with wonderful precision. The bowling appeared to lack sting. The Marylebonc team, not taking their second innings seriously against a team of Parsecs and Europeans at Bombay, were dismissed for 135, the first low score of the tour. The match was drawn. HAWKE CUP. TARANAKI BEAT WANGANUI. WANGANUI, Monday. In a thrilling finish, the Taranaki cricket team won the»Hawke Cup from Wanganui to-day. The visitors had compiled ISS and 17s, while Wanganui, collapsing in their first strike for (id, wanted 304 to win. When the second innings began on .Saturday, three wickets fell for seven, but a. good partnership between Bcrnau and Treadwell enabled Wanganui to compile 271 before completing their innings to-day. Borman was brilliantly caught by CTombic in the deep field. SCHOOL MATCH. WAIEARAPA v. WELLINGTON.
