MASTERTON DAIRY CO,
MEETING OF DIRECTORS. The monthly, meeting of the directors of the Masterton Dairy Co., Ltd., was held yesterday. Mr J. C. Ewington presided. There were also present: Messrs W. H. Buick, W. H. Bradley, T. R. Eaton, W. *H. Harcombe, M. J. Sinclair, Y. Van Praagli, It. Wilton and E. J. Wright. An offer for 1000 boxes of butter at 1/alb was declined, and an arrangement with a Wellington firm for a supply of butter for local markets was favourably considered.
Telegrams were, received notifying a lise in the Wellington wholesale market price, also notices of increased prices in the Home market. It was decided to pay an advance of 1/2 per pound to suppliers for November butter-fat.
The manager and staff were congratulated on their success, in manufacturing butter and maintaining a grade of 94 per cent. Out. of over 500 boxes sent for export, 90 only were graded as fine, and the remainder as superfine, thus securing the extra half-penny per poind paid by the Dairy Produce Board. Local sales were reported to be well maintained.
