WORKMEN’S FRIEND. MEETING OF DIRECTORS. The directors of the Workmen’s Friend Building Society held their monthly meeting last night, Mr W. H. Jackson presiding. There Avore present: —Messrs T. B. Bragg ins, F. J. Ilunn, T. Jenkins, II E. Jones, W. Kemp, A. E. Winzenberg and H. J. O’Leary (vicechairman). iSul>s'criptions and repayments Averc reported as coining in freely, and it Avas decided to hold an appropriation by ballot of £3OO on January 12th. An appropriated loan security Avas reported to be passed, and the advance made. At an extraordinary general meeting, held at the close of No. I Society, Mr W. Kemp was the successful tenderer for an appropriation of £3OO. NO. 2 SOCIETY. The monthly meeting of directors of the Workmen’s' Friend No. 2 Building Society was held last evening, Mr W. If. Jackson presiding. There Avcre also present: Messrs 11. J. O’Leary, T. B. Braggins, T. Jenkins, A. li. Winzenberg, W. Kemp, F. J. Ilunn and R. E. Jones. ' Routine business Avas transacted, and it, was reported that money Avas coining in freely, and another appropriation would be held shortly. The report of the. valuation committee on a security ■was adopted. It Avas resolved to send a copy of certain correspondence in regard to Government mortgages to the ActingPrime Minister, and to bold the next meeting of directors on January 12th.
