There Avas a good attendance. A portion of the new ground, being in a licaA-y state, Avas flagged off to safeguard the horses. During the running of the St. Andrew’s Handicap one of the contesting horses struck one of the stakes which broke and a piece of the timber struck Boomerday in the off eye which Avas torn from its socket. The totalisator handled £40,571, as compared with 46,406 for the corresponding day last year. The grand total for the meeting Avas £82,806, compared Avit-h £108,926 last year.. Results:—
