WELLINGTON v. MANAWATU. COUNTRY TEAAI BEATEN. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, November 30. The W r ellington cricket team played u game against a Alanawatu eleven. The visiting team included several promising players and the Wellington team included some colts. W'ellington batted first for 254 (J. S. Hiddleston 7G, J. Hutchings 63, J. AI. Fitzmaurice 3G. Wairey 29). Bowling for Alanaivatu, AlcVicar 3/4G, Gallichan 2/57, Fairing 4/103. Alanawatu made 177. N. Gallichan made 7G and played good ciieket in equalling Hiddleston’s score. A hard hitter, he broke two bats during the innings. F. Cooper made 3S. Bowling for Wellington, Hiddleston 3/28, Alassey 4/48, Brown 2/17. Wellington won by 77 runs.—(P.A.).
