PATRIOTIC ASSOCIATION.
CLAIMS BOARD MEETING. The fortnightly meeting of the claims board of the Wairarapa Patriotic Association was held in Masterton yesterday. There were present, Messrs J. M. Coradine (chairman), J. F. HeLenton, G. C. Summerell and D. McGregor. An apology for absence was received from -Mr. D. K. Logan. It was decided to advance a loan to the aged parents of a soldier to enable them to pay off a maturing mortgage on their home. A permanently disabled soldier received a grant of £IOO to assist him into a small farm. Fourteen claims for relief and assistance of a temporary nature wero dealt with. Altogether twenty-one cases’Occupied the attention of the board.
