Owing to many members being away for the holidays, the various eompeti•4ions have not progressed very far dur--mt tie past week. jKj -reply to a general invitation from veterans of the Grevtown Chib, .Messrs D. Finlayson, R. Rigg, L. Nix ivnd C. Wilton have forwarded a challenge for a match to be played on the "Greytown green -on Saturday next. The Grevtown Club lias also issued a • cordial invitation for two or three irinks to accompany the veterans for a -friendly game.
