Bates reports for the twenty-four hours from 9 a,m. this day as follows: — The indications are for westerly winds, strong to gale, and veering by west to south. Expect warm and humid conditions. The weather appears likely to- be cloudy and unsettled, with rain following. The barometer has a falling tendency, but rising shortly. PHASES OF THE MOON. DECEMBER.
